This is a great project, and it starts with a great story;

I was hired by Thomson Financial to relocate the company from several locations in Boston’s Fort Point section to a consolidated location in Cambridge.

On my first day at Thomson, the Cambridge real estate deal fell through.

The next day, my manager, I ran into Thomson’s CEO Andy Mills, while walking in the neighborhood. Andy expressed his disappointment about the real estate deal and asked  to suggest an alternative course of action. Andy ended the conversation by looking around at the neighborhood and stating that he really liked the location and scale. He wished TFS could stay.

I spent the weekend thinking about the issues and showed up Monday with a quick and dirty proposal (colored pencils on yellow trace)...... and they said "lets do it"

That was the start of this project, which lasted several years, grew from 75,000 sq. ft. to 280,000 sq. ft., and was reviewed by the Boston Globe as:        

                               “Boston’s best new office space".
