Facilities Project Manager, Akamai Technologies, Cambridge  2007– 2009

   Managed the planning, design, and construction for Akamai’s offices in the US & UK.

·         The relocation and construction of the Silicon Valley headquarters

   (LEED Certified –Gold),

·         The expansion of branch offices in Atlanta, Reston, New York and San Diego,

   London (UK).

·         Developed and managed the process to involve all Akamai staff in the

 establishment and introduction of new furniture/office standards.      

 

Senior Project Manager,  Diversified Project Management, Boston   1999– 2000

 

Project manager for the Fleet Bank / Bank Boston merger. Planned and implemented the consolidation of several greater Boston office buildings,

·         Successfully relocated 785 staff in 22 moves from 18 offices.

 

Corporate Facilities Planner Rational Software, Lexington   2001 -2004

 

·         Responsible for the planning and development of all North American offices

·         Created the master plan for the Massachusetts and California regional headquarters

Project Consultant,  Thomson Reuters / West Group, Eagan, MN  1997 - 1999

·         Reporting directly to the CEO, provided the leadership role in the planning and implementation of a 1,000,000 square foot corporate headquarters rehabilitation.

        Management of the architect, contractor and the int marketing of the project goals

 and 3-year implementation plan.

         Completed projects include: the design and construction of 350,000 square feet of general office space, new executive offices, a 250 person cybercafé, training conference spaces..

 

  Facilities Manager, Thomson Reuters / TFS, Boston  1991 – 1997

·         Developed corporate headquarters project, which upon completion was reviewed by the  Boston Globe as “the city’s best new office space”.

        Expansion and relocation of a 50,000 square foot European headquarters in London.

        Full responsibility for the operations of the corporate headquarters complex totaling 280,000 square feet.

 

 Corporate Facilities Manager  Bain & Company, Boston  1986 – 1991

·         Managed all aspects of a 210,000 square foot headquarters facility

·         Initiated and developed facility master plan, which doubled the office space over a period of

  three years while reducing construction costs by 42%.

·         Managed the site selection, design, and construction of branch offices in Dallas and Toronto.

 

Special Assistant for Projects  MA. Department of Corrections, 1983-1986

·         Facilitate the construction process for fast track facilities and directly communicate with the Office of the Governor, on project status.
